About

Nothing is impossible
Just measure-up your will

Myself Raman Singla. I did my Master’s in Computer Science from Kurukshetra University. I founded a start-up Imbibe Inc. which is on path to achieve its objective of employing technology to provide innovative solutions in various domains. I am a programmer working at a small company on .NET platform and iPhone (+ iPad).

I discovered my love with technology when Dad bought me a PC while I was doing my High School. It was a Celeron 400 MHz with 32 MB RAM and 4.3 GB disk (It’s amazing to see current generation PCs having 4 GB+ RAM as standard.). Over the years my systems have grown in power and now I own two laptops and a backup server.

I started programming in C++ when I was in my teens. One of my earlier projects was to code a windows explorer like interface for navigating the file-system in DOS. I discovered interrupts and drivers back then. I continued to code in C++ as I moved from Turbo C++ to Visual C++ and learned Win32 API, MFC, ATL, COM, COM+.

That was time when the open-source wave hit me. I studied the world of LAMP, Python and Perl. Nothing is more satisfying than my efforts on Granular Linux (currently a passive contributor).

I now code in Visual Basic 6 (maintaining legacy applications) and .NET with focus on ever-growing Web. I never preferred Java (over .NET).
